The Charter
Companies who apply for the Charter for Sustainable Cleaning have had independently verified that they take sustainability into account in development and manufacture of their products. They ensure that their products are manufactured in a safe manner, taking care of the environment by more efficient use of chemicals and natural resources (eg water). They also make sure through effective management that the products they produce are safe for their intended use. The objective is to move towards more sustainable production and consumption patterns.
All companies committed to the scheme provide data in order to allow the overall performance of the soaps, detergents, and maintenance product industry in terms of economic, social and environmental aspects to be measured.
They also commit to provide better consumer and customer safety information.
