Why accepted verifiers
The companies that want to join the Charter for Sustainable Cleaning need to pass the Charter Entrance Check. This check is performed on-site by an accepted verifier. This guarantees that all applicant companies are individually assessed on the same basis by a neutral, professional auditing body.
When a company applies for admission to the Charter, it will be asked to select a verifier from the A.I.S.E. list of accepted, accredited verifiers or to look for a verification company which is able to meet the criteria for becoming an accepted verifier.

How to become an accepted verifier?
In order to become an accepted verifier and be able to perform the A.I.S.E. Charter Entrance Check, a verification company needs to be officially accredited by a national accreditation service (or any equivalent organisation). Subsequently, the verification company should accept the terms and conditions set out in the A.I.S.E. ''Letter of Commitment". The verifier needs to sign this letter and has to fill in a detailed registration form. Both documents should be returned to A.I.S.E.
The PDF below contains both the commitment letter as well as the registration form. Please return to: A.I.S.E. Avenue Hermann Debroux 15A B - 1160 BRUSSELS Belgium
After approval by A.I.S.E., you will become one of the accepted verifiers whom applying companies may select for the Charter Entrance Check.

Both sections refer to two important guidance notes which are extremely useful for both the company as well as the verifier when they start to prepare themselves for the Entrance Check: Procedure for the Entrance Check by an Accepted Verifier
This document explains stepwise the procedure to become a Charter participant and clarifies the role of the verifier. Guidance to the Charter Entrance Check
This document explains what the Entrance Check is about and how companies should provide evidence concerning the CSP's in place. It also explains in detail the scoring framework and the level of management control required per CSP.
Please, contact A.I.S.E. or the Charter Project-Manager in case you need more information.
